Mt.Potts Lodge is 45km from Mt.Somers village, which is on State Highway 72, South of Christchurch and North of Geraldine/Queenstown. Follow the signs to Mt.Potts and Lake Clearwater. The lodge is located on the right hand side of the road about 10 minutes drive on from the lakes. There is a big signpost at the end of the lodge drive. Skiers and snowboarders arriving on the morning of their heli day need to be at the lodge by 8.30am. Mt.Potts Lodge is approximately one hour’s drive from Methven, or two from Christchurch.
We can arrange road or air transfers from Christchruch or Methven for groups of three or more people. If you're visiting alone hiring a carand self driving is the best solution. We're working on signing HeliPark up to SnowPool ride shares. Will update soon.
Southern Alps Heliski, Heli Park and Mt.Potts Lodge open on 10th July and close on 15th September each season. We prefer good snow and we’re prepared to wait for it. You can book from 1st April annually.
